The invention provides a flame-retardant EVA adhesive film as well as its preparation method and application. The flame-retardant EVA adhesive film is composed of the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of EVA resin, 5‑16 parts of nitrogen-phosphorus flame retardant, 1‑10 parts of carbon-forming agent, 0.5‑2 parts of co-crosslinking agent, 0.2‑1 part of silane coupling agent and 0.4‑1.5 parts of initiator. The film is prepared by pre-dispersing nitrogen-phosphorus flame retardant and carbon-forming agent in partial EVA resin first, then melt-extruding and film-forming together with remaining raw materials. The EVA adhesive film is transparent, low-smoke, halogen-free and flame-retardant, with mechanical properties and light transmittance equivalent to pure EVA resin, and is suitable for encapsulation of photovoltaic modules.
