The composite separator is composed of plant stem-oxide copolymer and polyolefin or polyimide base film. Particles of the plant stem-oxide copolymer are embedded at 1/4‑2/4 thickness of the base film, and the composite separator has a three-dimensional network porous structure. The modified coating with porous structure and abundant functional groups is synthesized in the invention. By regulating the three-dimensional porous network structure, the specific surface area is increased and the electrolyte wettability of the separator is improved.
