The invention provides a color masterbatch for a white photovoltaic encapsulation adhesive film and a preparation method thereof. The color masterbatch comprises the following components in parts by weight: 40–60 parts of EVA resin, 40–60 parts of titanium dioxide, 1–5 parts of silicone masterbatch, and 1–5 parts of dispersant. The color masterbatch is prepared by first mixing components except titanium dioxide evenly, then extruding with titanium dioxide through an extruder and pelletizing. The titanium dioxide in the color masterbatch provided by the invention is well dispersed. When used for preparing a photovoltaic encapsulation adhesive film, it can effectively reduce extrusion torque, reduce die buildup during extrusion casting of the white photovoltaic encapsulation adhesive film, reduce adhesive film agglomeration, and improve production efficiency.
